Of Special Interest to Woodturners

Woodturners can choose from over 500 blanks, squares and a large supply of 7 % air dried 1" and 2" boards. Leonard has his own mill. This allows him to draw the best out of his highly figured logs.

Leonard does his rough turning during the winter months. This gives him time to finish his bowls during the busy tourist season. Tourists just love to visit Leonard's shop and witness how he finishes his bowls and hollow forms.

Leonard starts drying his blanks on the floor after coating the outside with log end sealer. Every month he moves them up one shelf for a slow moisture release. The final few months of drying takes place in the very top of his garage where the temperature can reach over 150 Fahrenheit. This works well for Leonard and very few blanks seem to crack.

Blanks vary in size from 3" to 24". Come and choose from New Brunswick's best Birdseye.
